Gents,
Some of you may not know Mr. Amato or his better half Dr. Lisa Amato (the child psychologist who kicked some ass at the beer pong tournie). Jeff played out on the wing when we made it to the Elite Eight in Austin two seasons ago. One of the main reasons we have not seen him on the pitch since is that his 3 yr old son, Jack, was diagnosed with fairly severe autism over a year ago. The Amatos have attacked this condition aggresively and are making progress but their situation highlights the fact that autism is a growing epidemic that needs attention. I don't want to turn this forum into a constant call to action for the various worthy causes out there, but this is one of our own, someone whom we've bled with.
